Privacy policy
Guts and All. Effective November 4, 2026.
Guts and All is a private diary. We built it so that we never see your information. This page explains what that means.
What we collect
Nothing. We don't collect, receive, store or have access to the information you enter in the app, and the app has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking tools.
Where your information lives
Everything you log (visits, urine, water, food, check-ins, medications, labs, flares, appointments, doctors and places, notes) is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud, it's also kept in your own private iCloud account so it syncs between your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. That data is held by Apple under your Apple Account and Apple's privacy terms. We can't see it.
Things that stay on your device
- Your PIN and Face ID setting. Face ID is handled by iOS, and the app never sees your face data.
- Reminders and notifications, which are scheduled on your device.
- Widgets and Siri shortcuts, which read your data on the device only.
Sharing
We don't share your information with anyone, because we don't have it. If you create a backup file or a doctor report, you decide where it goes, such as the Files app, AirDrop, email or print.
Purchases
The optional Supporter unlock is handled by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether you own it. We don't receive your payment details.
Children
The app isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Medical disclaimer
Guts and All is a tracking tool and doesn't give medical advice. Talk to your doctor about your health.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date above.
